Nick DePrey is a composer and producer specializing in bringing audio storytelling to life. He has provided themes and scores for audio powerhouses like NPR, Gimlet Media, and KQED. He is based in Chicago, formerly in Washington, DC.
He has worked as a for-hire and in-house composer since 2013, with a musical performance background extending over 20 years.
During the day, Nick works as Sr. Director of Product for Chicago Public Media. He previously worked as a data scientist and product owner for NPR, with projects that included the NPR One app, smart speaker skills, and measuring audio listening behaviors with big data techniques.
